Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Iraq.

Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Iraq. Part of the Southern Palace of Nebuchadnezzar II built in the 6th century BC, these ruins are speculated to be the remains of the famous Hanging Gardens that he built for his homesick wife Amyitis. Although the gardens are known as having been one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, whether they did in fact really exist is disputed by archaeologists, some of whom believe they were confused with gardens at Nineveh.
