Hand lesions of ILVEN

Hand lesions of ILVEN (Inflammatory linear verrucous epidermal nevus). Histologically, ILVEN skin lesions show hypergranulosis with orthokeratosis and parakeratosis with agranulosis. They are often raised and can be flakey or scabby. They are characterized as inflammatory because the lesions are warmer than surrounding skin. The lesions generally follow the lines of Blaschko, and are thus linear in arrangement.
