Quintin Banderas, (1846-1906), 1920s. Artist: Unknown

Brigadier-Quintin Banderas. Born in Santiago de Cuba in 1834, fought in the two wars of Independencia. was deported to Spain in 1879. In 1896 he walked the trail from Mariel to Majana, mocking the vigilance of Spanish troops. Died in 1906.
