The Volksempfänger, or 'people's receiver' was a mass produced German Radio. Used for entertainment, information and indoctrination. Developed by engineer Otto Griessing at the request of Joseph Goebbels, the propaganda minister. Was an important tool of the Nazis in the relaying of Hitler's speeches. 1933-1945 AD.
