Alexandre Dumas fils, or the younger, 1824 - 1895. French author and playwright, best known for his romantic novel The Lady of the Camellias, which was adapted into Giuseppte Verdi's opera La Traviata. He was the son of Alexander Dumas of The Three Musketeers fame. After a work by Felix Bracquemond done from life when Dumas was around 25 years old.
