Dromia vulgaris, Print, Dromia personata is a species of crab found in the North Sea, the Mediterranean Sea, and connecting parts of the northeastern Atlantic Ocean. It grows up to a carapace length of 53 millimetres (2.1 in), and lives mainly from the lower shore to a depth of 8 metres (26 ft), or occasionally to 100 metres (330 ft), and often in caves. The last two pairs of legs are positioned dorsally, and are used by young crabs to hold a sponge in place as camouflage.
