1 Ton Torpedoes from The Air World's Fastest Plane -- The world's greatest warplane was demonstrated yesterday at Brough Aerodrome, Yorks. Torpedoes carrying nearly one ton of high explosives were dropped into the water from this Blackburn Napier Ripon II which can carry this immense missile beneath the fuselage when going through the air at a speed of over 3 miles per minute.
