Painted portrait of Margaret Theresa of Spain (Also known as Margarita Teresa or Margarete Theresia). Lived from 12th July 1651 to 12th March 1673. She was the daughter of King Philip IV of Spain and Mariana of Austria, and presided as the Holy Roman Empress, German Queen, Archduchess consort of Austria, Queen consort of Hungary and Bohemia. She is the central figure in the famous "Las Menina"s by Diego Velázquez, and became the subject of many of his later paintings. Oil on canvas.
