Bristol Pegasus engines with three-blade variable pitch airs crews unite to give the new Sunderland flying boat high speed and long range - up to 3,000 miles. This aircraft is a military version of the Short flying boats which operate the main Empire air services, and is to re-equip R.A.F. sea-duty units.
