Korean War, Marine Night Mission, 1953

Captioned: "Night view of the First Rocket Battery, 11th Marine Regiment, firing a night mission, somewhere in the Marines front line sector." The 11th Marine Regiment is an artillery regiment of the United States Marine Corps based at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. Known as the "Cannon Cockers", the regiment falls under the command of the 1st Marine Division and the I Marine Expeditionary Force. The 11th Marines participated in continued heavy action on the East Central Front throughout 1951, and in March 1952, moved to the Western Front.
