Gallant boy honoured at church service. When the Bishop of Monmouth presented the Gallant Conduct Medal of the Church Lads Brigade to ten year old Robert Harris, of Crindu, Newport during a service at All Saints Church, Newport, Men he said that it was the first time he had witnessed 'such a ceremony' interpolated into a service of the Church'. The boy, a non swimmer was awarded the decoration for his gallantry in saving a three year old girl, who had fallen into the River Ebb at Newport.
