Glucagon Molecular Model

A molecular model of glucagon, a hormone produced by the pancreas in order to raise blood glucose levels. Glucagon will stimlulate the liver to convert stored glycogen to glucose and release it into the blood. Insulin acts as a biological antagonist when blood glucose levels are too high, and will take steps to decrease blood glucose levels, providing a feedback loop to maintain homeostasis.
