BABY BURNED TO DEATH IN KENTISH TOWN FIRE

BABY BURNED TO DEATH IN KENTISH TOWN FIRE : The alarm was sounded once more from the fire call box in North London, from which a hoax call was made, resulting in the death of four children, when the fire engine crashed into a Woolworth store. This time firemen were called to a house in Grafton Road, Kentish Town, where they found a little girl, four year old Janet Bailey, burned to death in the gutted kitchen of her home, in her pram. Photo Shows: Mr and Mrs Bailey, the mother and father of the dead baby, leaving their burned out home. Mr Bailey was called from his work at the Selfridge store. United Kingdom 1946.
