In 1902 she received the posthumous name Hyoja Wonsong Jonghwa Hapchon Honggong Songdok Myongsong Taehwanghu (Korean Hangul: ?????????????????, Hanja: ?????????????????), often abbreviated as Myongsong Hwanghu (Hangul: ????, Hanja: ????), meaning Empress Myeongseong.
