House of Broadcasting in Berlin sealed off by British troops

Soldiers of the British army guard the blocking and patrol around the "Haus des Rundfunks" ("House of Broadcasting") on the 3rd of June in 1952.
Although it was located in the British sector of Berlin, the House of Broadcasting was used by the Broadcast of Berlin and controlled by the Soviets after World War II until 1952.
After a temporary blocking by the British Army, the building was given to the Senate of Berlin only in July 1956, who handed it over to the broadcaster "Freies Berlin" ("Free Berlin") after extensive renovation works. 03/06/1952
