Prince Mirza Fath-ul-Mulk Bahadur also known as Mirza Fakhru (full name with Royal Titles: Fath ul-Mulk, Shahzada Mirza Muhammad Sultan Shah, Firuz Jang, Wali Ahd Bahadur born 1816 or 1818 in the Red Fort, died 10 July 1856) was the last Crown Prince of the Mughal Empire. A senior Prince of the Imperial Family of India, he was the son of Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Emperor of India through his wife Rahim Bukhsh Bai Begum. He was made the Crown Prince in 1853. He was an older brother of Prince Mirza Mughal and the younger brother of former Crown Prince Mirza Dara Bakht. He died of cholera in 1856. In 1857, the First Indian War of Independence sparked an empire wide struggle; in 1858, the Mughal Era officially came to an end, signifying the end of a 332 year rule. In 1877, the title Emperor of India was taken by the British Royal Family starting with Queen Victoria.
