Australia's New Aircraft. First R.A.A.F. "Wapiti" Christened. A demonstration flight by Flight-Lieut. L. Pacet after the ceremony, at Yeovil. Lady Ryrie, the wife of the wish Commissioner for Australia, yesterday at the Westland Aircraft Works, christened the first of a fleet of twenty-eight "Wapiti" general purposes" aeroplanes, fitted with "Jupiter" engines, ordered for the Royal Australian Air Force. This batch of machines is fitted with wing slots, but, unlike the name type supplied to the R.
