Sarah Angelica Singleton Van Buren (1818 - 1877) was the daughter-in-law of the 8th American President Martin Van Buren. Married to the President's son, Abraham, she assumed the post of First Lady because the president's wife, Hannah, had died and he remained unwed. Colorization of an engraving circa 1913.
