Model of a Water Gauge, Model of a water gauge glass for steam boilers. The glass tube is mounted in a copper tube. At both ends a tap with a flange is arranged on this end, the lower one was connected to the water and the upper one to the steam. At the bottom is a third tap, for cleaning and other purposes, the top end is closed with a nut. All gaskets are lead. The boiler water level was checked with this gauge glass., anonymous, Netherlands (possibly), 1845 - 1855, brass (alloy), copper (metal), glass, h 47.5 cm × w 15.8 cm × d 15 cm.
