The sinners are fully encapsulated in ice. The three supreme traitors of the Church and the Empire (Judas, Brutus and Cassius) are eaten by Lucifer, who has 3 mouths.. private collection.. In 1921, for Dante Aligheri's 600th anniversary of death, the Istituto Nazionale Dantesco chose Amos Nattini to illustrate The Divine Comedy. The illustrations have been published in 1923.
