The Prophet Jeremiah, 1844. Among the prophecies of Jeremiah was the fall of Jerusalem to Nebuchadrezzar (Nebuchadnezzar) and the exile of the Jews in Babylon. He also foretold the coming of the Messiah. After the painting my Michaelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, Rome. A wood engraving in The Illustrated London News, 29th June 1844.
