Fish Design Amulet Inscribed with the cartouche of Queen Ahmose Nefertari. Dimensions: L. 1.5 cm (9/16 in); W. 1 cm (3/8 in); Th. 0.6 cm (1/4 in). Dynasty: Dynasty 18, early. Reign: reign of Ahmose I-Thutmose II. Date: ca. 1550-1479 B.C.. The inscription on the base of the amulet reads "Nefertari" and may refer to Ahmose-Nefertari, the wife of King Ahmose I and the mother of Amenhotep I. She was held in high regard throughout the New Kingdom.
