Laloo Ramparsad, Indian Sideshow Performer

Laloo Ramparsad (1874 - 1905) was an Indian Muslim sideshow performer. He had a parasitic twin protruding from his stomach attached at its shoulders, with a rudimentary body and legs and arms. The twin had no brain but did have a penis, with which he could urinate and get an erection. In spite of its gender, the twin was often dressed in girl's clothes to add interest to Laloo's performance. They shared a bloodstream and Laloo could feel when the twin was touched. Laloo, worked with P. T. Barnum as one of his sideshow performers, and participated in the 1899 protest to have performers referred to as 'prodigies' instead of 'freaks'. He died in 1905 in a train crash in Mexico. The Wonder Book of Freaks and Animals in the Barnum & Bailey Greatest Show on Earth, 1898 (cropped and cleaned).
