David Lloyd George, 1st Earl Lloyd-George of Dwyfor, (1863 – 1945) Welsh statesman and Liberal Party politician who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1916 to 1922. He was the last Liberal to hold the post of prime minister and held the office through the last two years of the First World War, leading the British delegation at the Paris Peace Conference in 1919.
