Titanic and Olympic leaving the shipyard

RMS Titanic and its sister ship RMS Olympic leaving the Harland and Wolff shipyard, Belfast, Ireland. Titanic, the largest ocean liner ever built at the time, was reputed to be unsinkable. However, during its maiden voyage it struck an iceberg in the North Atlantic on the night of 14 April 1912 and sank with the loss of 1517 lives. The Olympic had its maiden voyage from the 14th to the 21st June 1911, and remained in service until 1937.
