SIGILS - DEMONS. Eight representative sigils of demons. The demonic sigils are, in effect, the 'signatures' of the demons, and are used in conjuration, and in the manufacture of talismans and charms, to either evoke, or protect from, the sigillized demon. According to many occultists, possession of the sigil of a demon is tantamount to possessing is magical name, which gives the possibility of control over the creature. Reading from top, left to right, these are the sigils of: Bifrons, Aym, Vepar, Shax, Naberius, Belial, Bune and Anduscias. All these sigils are derived from various grimoires of the Solomonic type, in the British Library. There are literally thousands of demonic sigils, but those accorded to the 72 named demons in the Solomonic grimoires are by far the most well known.
