Breastplate of iron kuras, Breastplate, painted black, made of two plates, the arm and neck cut-outs flanged around, at the height of the arm cut-out two copper swivel hooks and copper knobs for attaching the shoulder straps. Two pins on either side of the neckline. Straight midbone, with a small bulge below. In the center of the breastplate a copper star surrounded by copper rivets. Parallel to the flanged edge, copper rivets and double decorative lines. The abdominal collar is riveted to the breast plate and has four pierced eyes for attaching the thigh plates. Parallel to the top edge of the belly collar, copper rivets. Double decorative lines above and below the rivets. Four round holes at the bottom of the belly collar. The inside of the breastplate is painted black., anonymous, Netherlands, c. 1600 - c. 1699, borstplaat, klinknagels, h 40.3 cm × w 42 cm × l 16 cm.
