Recent research indicates that the teeth of some large sauropods were covered by a beaklike structure made of keratin called rhamphotheca. One of the dinosaurs that have this structure is the dwarf sauropod Europasaurus which lived in the late Jurassic of Germany. Here the species Europasaurus holgeri is reconstructed showing the last hypothesis on sauropod anatomy. Some sauropods like Camasaurus and Europasaurus have been recently described as sporters of turtlelike beaks.
