Portugal, Ribatejo Province, Tomar, Convent of the Knights of Christ, Round Church, Ribbed Ceiling. Tomar was founded in the 12th century as headquarters of the Knights Templar in Portugal. In the convent, the Hostelry Cloister was built in 1541-1542 to provide temporary accommodation for guests and pilgrims. The Templar Castle and the Convent of the Knights of Christ were declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1983.
