Tito Flavio DOMIZIANO (24 October 51 - 18 September 96) Roman emperor from 14 September 81, he ordered the second Christian persecution. He was assassinated in a Senate conspiracy and suffered the "damnatio memoriae". "Domitianus Cesar Augustu", decoration in bas-relief from the band depicting famous characters of antiquity and mythological themes, inspired by the medals of the Roman era, carved on the base of the facade of the basilica of the Certosa di Pavia, a typical example of Lombard Renaissance architecture of the fifteenth century.
