Hendk Visser, 1860, horsehair, leather, braid, tin, sheet, silver thread, silk, paper, sewn, With feather: 21 x 18.5 x 24cm (210 x 185 x 240mm), Without feather: 18 x 18.5 x 24cm (180 x 185 x 240mm), coat of arms (sign), Sjako of a senior officer of the Civic Guard, worn in 1860. The shako is made of black cloth with silver piping. The bottom and the flap are made of black leather. The flap is green at the bottom. A silver cord is attached at the top around the flap. From the ends of the flap, a black leather strap runs around the edge. The tire becomes wider at the back. At the top, around the bottom, the shako is covered with silver braid. At the center is the coat of arms of the Netherlands, made of tin and depicted in a crowned shield with two lions as shield carriers. Above it an orange silk cockade with a tin loop and loop button. Above a silver braided pompom from which a brush of black horsehair protrudes. The inside has a leather inner tube and is lined with paper. On the bottom is a label with No. 383 HENDk VISSER on the Langebrug Corner of the Thiefsteeg LED, 1893.
